Calculator to Convert the Norse Feedback version 3.0 to the Patient Health Questionnaire-8 (PHQ-8) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7)

This online calculator (i.e. crosswalk) computes Patient Health Questionnaire-8 (PHQ-8; Kroenke & Spitzer, 2002) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7; Spitzer et al., 2006) scores from the Norse Feedback (McAleavey et al., 2021; Nordberg et al., 2021) scores using the methods described in Sah et al. (Sah et al., under review).

To use this calculator, please follow the steps below. You will need complete data on the Norse Feedback (i.e., no missing value) for this calculator.
  1. First, select whether you will be entering Norse Feedback subscale scores or Norse Feedback trigger item scores in the yellow box.
  2. Enter the Norse Feedback scores to each content area in the boxes below. If your subscale scores or trigger item scores have decimal points, please be sure to enter two decimal points (For example, if your subscale score is 4.352, enter 4.35; if your subscale score is 4.1, enter 4.1 as it is). If the scores are whole numbers, you do not need to enter decimal points (For example, if your subscale score is 5, enter 5 as it is).
  3. After you have completed entering all Norse Feedback scores, click on “Calculate” to generate the PHQ-8 and GAD-7 scores.

Note: For Norse Feedback subscales that include one item, and for Norse Feedback single items, trigger scores and subscale/single scores are the same. The Norse Feedback items that are not included in the analyses were Suicidality, Medication, Alliance, and Social Determinants of Health.
